Gráinne’s subject matter is the landscape and in the gallery she shows her paintings based from her interest in Connemara and Inishbofin, where she visits regularly.

Using the recognised form of the landscape in her paintings she scrapes back, reworks and layers the paint to create a unique synthesis of colour, tone and shape. The intimate scale belies a considerable impact, and her paintings have stood out in recent RHA and RUA annual exhibitions.
